Loud music, huge bar in the middle, average service, about sums it up. I would consider this a bar that happens to serve food rather than a restaurant that serves drinks. Oh, and if you like to watch TV while you're out spending money, you are in luck here - they have 30+ televisions on the walls, each one seemingly tuned into a different channel. I'm sure this is heaven for someone - I don't know just who it would be, but my guess is it would be the younger crowd (such as it is in southwest Florida) looking to make a connection. And the food? The calamari appetizer was ho-hum. For the corned beef & cabbage, the corned beef was thinly sliced rather than in the customary chunk. Not good. We had to ask the waitperson for dijon mustard which perked it up a bit. Inside the shrimp & crab quesadilla was a mixture of I'm not sure what in a salad style. Individual pieces of either seafood could not be discerned by the human eye. On the bright side, both meals were super-sized the American way, so it's almost guaranteed you'll have an extra meal to take home with you. PS: only go here to drink.

This is one of favorites in town, great for all, we sometimes go to talk and relax and sometimes with a group. The food is consistent, great specials. The management staff is hands on, the bartenders are friendly and efficient. So many tv's, you can watch any sporting event here. We will obviously be back!

The worse service I have every had. Poor guy I swear I think he was new and I really tried to be patient everyone needs to start somewhere but come on. First off I got my salad with dressing on the side and ordered a dressing that didn't go with the salad I didn't want the key lime dressing... I wanted ranch. Well he knew that and gave me my ranch dressing before I got my water... Then got my food way before everyone else... but with the icky dressing that in my opinion tasted like mop water... yeah I would have had it but it was way too gross for me to choke down... just couldnt do it. Well I sent it back he said he put no dressing on it so someone messed up in the kitchen. Well that fine but I didn't get my salad until EVERYONE else I ate lunch with (8 people) were done. It was a birthday and they wouldn't sing... yeah they actually said NO! I asked ok please send me out a cake then to at least make him feel special... it never came... In fact the guy went by me I would say at least 5 times before he would even take my card to pay... looking at the card and the bill 2x's when he went by. He even said you to me I wouldn't blame you if you didn't pay... umm yeah I am going to run out on my bill with my boss and my bosses boss with me... UMMM what is wrong with you.... take my money guy. Also out of everyone I was with and two people waiting on us none of us got the right food or even the right bills. It was a mess... Also one of my work mates is still waiting on her sweet potato fries.I think its safe to say she may not be getting them.

I really like this place. I have been here many times and have yet to get a bad meal or bad service. The place has a Florida feel to it, and an interesting menu to match the interesting people this great state has to offer! (: Most of the time I get the fresh Mahi Florentine, which is dead on every time. I occasionally order the "ozobucco" (not sure if I spelled it correctly) which is a huge, slow roasted pork shank.. Both meals run at about $12. Good prices! The beer selection is great. Since the restaurant is such a busy place, it always tastes fresh. $1 drink specials all day, every day! I reccomend for families and singles alike!

Ate here while in Fl. Food was decent, but they get high marks for letting me buy one oyster. Not many places, will let you do that.

I'm not sure how this place could get any better. They have about 400 billion drink specials (if you pay more than $5 for any drink, you must be ordering Johnnie Walker Blue or something, since even top shelf vodka drinks were only $4 or $5), great food (try the fish tacos, turkey burger, or steak sandwich), and really friendly service. It's pretty much always crowded with sports fans, and I recall hearing that baseball players hang out here on non-game days during spring training. As a side note, it took about half an hour in this place during my most recent trip for me to remember that this bar was the last stop of the night on my last night in Fort Myers in spring 2001. Falling off a bar stool and doing a shot while sitting on the ground -- those were good times.

Fun times. Ft. Myers Ale House? Millers Ale House? Meh, whatever. They've got some pretty decent beers on tap (read: more than bud and bud light), but the food is just okay. One night I got a tasty hot dog, but another night I got a seriously limp salad. Blarg. Service is sketchy if you're sitting at a table and *especially* on Sunday, where the place is packed with people watching football on the gabillion TVs there. I got pretty great service at the bar, not so much from the waitress who basically avoided eye contact with me and took 20 damn minutes to get me a drink. Seriously, it's just soda! In any case, I'd definitely go back. It's chill and has booze and random drunks. What more can you ask for out of a bar?

Great selection of beers. Good service okay food. Would I go back again? Yes - got to try more beers.

Large Bar. Lots of Tv's. Great for friends and hangout and have some drinks while watching the game. Very much a College type place. Loud. Food is a possible a C. to sum it up if you want Loud, Crowded spot with average food this is your place. Happy Eatting

Best thing about Miller's is the choices....they will have something on the menu that fits your mood and your budget and every type of beer on tap for your thirst. There are some things on the menu that have failed me (soggy nachos and old crab legs) but most are solid. Fajitas at the bar was a winner twice last time I was in town and for some reason I've always enjoyed the fish dip. Fosters seems to be on perpetual sale. Service has always been first rate, the bartenders are very high energy and hopefully get rewarded for it, I think management knows that a mediocre bartender is going to pull this place down.

35 shrimp plus two sides?!?! sign me up! Very generous portions especially their drinks! I was part of a large group, so our food took a while to come out. The joint has a lot of seating and a couple of pool tables. Would I have a craving for The Ale House? Perhaps not. But most definitely a decent meal. Seems like the perfect place to spend a Saturday and/or Sunday watching football. Why lie. I watch football on Thursdays and Mondays too. The Ale House certainly has enough food to cater to any of those days of the week.

Went in with family (where two people had food issues - lactose intolerance, etc). Place was a bit on the busy side for the end of the week. It was rainy out, so maybe people were taking in local indoor sites. Who knows. Round of waters were ordered (and a Ranger beer for me. Thanks everyone I went with - I got carded. I love looking under 21 and dining with the over 50 crowd). After about 20 minutes of debating on what to order, meals were plated and delivered. My Sam Adams battered fish and chips were awesome. That's the basis for the 4 stars. Also, the attentiveness of the waitstaff, as the people who had food allergies raved about their meal as well. Food was hot, water was cold, and the sports bar atmosphere mixed with the fishing gear along the entire place will make me go back at some point in the near future.

This is a pretty good sport bar and seafood house. Tonight, I ordered the onion rings and the zinger melt. Please know, the zinger melt is enough food for more than one person (guess three could get full). The food was hot, tasty and service was perfect. I would go again. If you are staying in a nearby hotel, make sure to tell them so you can get 10% off food items. Oh, and they have a huge draft beer menu.

Solid 3. I've been quite a few times. It seems to be the only place open sometimes for drinks and food. The service has always been very nice. The food always seems very dried out, maybe like it's sitting at the pass way to long under a heat lamp. But a ton of beers on tap, and a bunch of TVs. It wouldn't be my first choice to go but it's my late night go to if things are closed.

We enjoy Miller's. It's nothing exceptional but it's great for a quick, filling lunch. The kids menu has a nice set of options and overall the food is consistent.

Food was great - service was poor Came with a group and the waiter put all of our orders together rather than doing each table. Food took 1 hour.

Yikes! First time at Miller Ale House, that makes me Wonder. Where am I. The place is Grungy. To say the least. We sat at the Bar. I ordered a Perrier Bottled Water. No lemon/lime.(Dirty rags, on bar prep area? HELLO!) heard of Ecoli or Salmonella? The Smoking Arrangement is Not Good. Automatic, open/close door. No air Blowers, Stale smoke keeps coming in. When doors open and close. Today's temp is an aprox 90F, Humidity, 100-110%. We've had Rain everyday for the last 7 days. I mean, RAINNN!!! Where is Corp? Stayed at the Best Western next door and this was great to be able to walk next door and get some good food. The only thing I didn't like is that the bathrooms are behind the wait station, so you can see the disarray and violations. Would I go back , yes . My server was great and so was the manager. A very friendly Restaurant

Ate here Friday night for the first time in a long time... It simply was awful. The Zingers were barely breaded, the onion rings had been cooked 3 days ago and reheated to be served and the Cajun Chicken pasta didn't have sauce but grease. My husband took a few bites and said it tasted funny so stopped and by the time we got home he was praying to the porcelain gods. The waitress never came back after our food came and someone else slid the check onto the table as they blew past. When we asked for a manager we were told one wasn't available. We paid the bill, left no tip and came home. I will be trying to contact the manager during the week when there is a off time and will be sending them an email or letter regarding the awful service and bad food.

Worst Ale House we have ever been to.... And we have visited a lot of locations! Our waitress repeatedly messed up our orders. We waited over 20 minutes for Chicken Fingers. Some of our food never even arrived. The buffalo shrimp were soggy & barely cooked. The restaurant was extremely loud!! The manager apologized profusely for all the mistakes but by then the damage was done. We won't be returning.

Great family/sports atmosphere, great menu (I haven't found a better version of boneless wings than Zingers). Beer selection is good, too.

It was second time coming here. 3 out of 4 dishes were served wrong. Buffalo chicken sandwich was drier than Sahara desert. Chicken salad had pink chicken. Steak and lobster was served with steak undercooked, potato burnt, raw broccoli (raw) and no lobster!!! Asked for manager he acknowledged everything was wrong and told us how he liked his food to be cooked. ( no bun Tony ) got the bill was charged full price!! Salad was replaced with no chicken salad (4.00) but still charged 8.99. Full price for everything else with no explanation. WOW won't return Tony you messed up pretty bad.

Solid beer selection, food that reliably good and ZINGERS! For years, this place has been a dependable good time for a meal with the family or a night of drinks with the boys.

Ordered Zingers "hot", hot not too hot just FYI for spicy lovers. Fries fresh, son had 35 Shrimp Paste, said it was good, service good, managers present, wifes baked potato fresh, drinks fine, just Tea and waters for us. Easy watching sports games, plenty of TV's. Trick here is making sure fresh, maybe best to say "want fresh fries", seems to work for us better.

We go there once in a while and the food is always good. Just a bit of turn-off for non-smokers who want to have some fresh air near the bar area. U will prob go home smelling like a cigarette butt j/k.

PStaying at the hotel next door. Large menu with many options. Went with the mahi sandwich and loaded baked potato soup. The soup was excellent, portions good, and prices reasonable.

Piss poor. The clientele is very ghetto and all the waitresses are young and retarded...need a better location much?

Edit: So I came back because the bar is close to where we stay in Ft. Myers and it's open late. 2nd experience was much better than the first and I'll be coming back probably every time we are in town. The bartender was really cool and the food I got (pot stickers) were great. Upgraded them to a 4 star :) Previous Review: Bar food, not restaurant quality. For bar food it's ok, but I thought it was a restaurant. The food is horribly bland, no spices, no flavors. I suggest go somewhere else for food anyway. (Previously a 3 star)

It's pretty much guaranteed that if my colleagues and/or I are on a trip to our Ft. Myers site we are eating almost exclusively at the Ale House - mostly due to its proximity to both our site and hotel. I know some people who absolutely love it, but I think it's pretty average. The meals are reasonably priced and HUGE (do not attempt to finish the fish & chips alone) and there are usually drink specials. It's more of a sports bar than a restaurant - tons of TVs everywhere all tuned to sports channels and a huge bar in the middle of the place. It gets super crowded at peak times and I don't think they take reservations, so be prepared to wait.

We went to Miller's Ale House on a Friday night. My girlfriend had been there before but it was a "first" for me. The only bummer is that you can't make a reservation. We waited about 35minutes for a table but quickly found some seats at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender suggested we order dinner and eat at the bar but we opted for just an appetizer. We ordered the hot spinach dip. It was not too cheesy and "just right". There are almost too many options on the menu. It was hard to choose what to have with all the daily specials offered. We ordered the snow crab (1 lb. of steamed crab for $9.99) and the twin lobster tails ($14.99). They were both served with creamy cole slaw and your choice of potato! (LOVE the baked potatoes here!). The crab legs were a little messy to eat but that was to be expected. For the price and proportion both were a good deal. It's the perfect spot to meet some friends and watch a sporting event.

I have visited here numerous times over the past few years. The food is consistently decent, the service is usually fine, and prices are reasonable. What frustrates me is the wait times. I feel like the wait staff is never around when I need something. Today, I stopped with my son for a quick bite after being on the road all day. It took almost 30 mins to get a pizza (which was great). I asked the waitress to bring my check since I wanted to get home. 10 mins later, we're finished eating, and I still don't have my check. I see my waitress chatting at another table and posing for pictures. Finally, he was done, and I was able to remind to her of the bill which took another 5 mins to receive. In all, if the service was a bit more attentive, I'd have been much happier.

Interesting place - lots of TVs, a few pool tables, and some of the hardest booth benches you'll ever sit in. The food isn't really anything to go crazy about, we both had a sandwich type thing (a turkey burger and a blackened grouper sandwich) - both with pretty generic sweet potato fries and a giant pickle. The beer selection (as mentioned in previous reviews) is excellent, and this is one of the few places in the area I found (after an extensive 22 second search) to be open late. (Late = past 10) Our waitress was awesome, she sat in the booth with us and we became friends (well, her and my mom) and ended up changing numbers and making plans for the weekend. Go figure. She was honest too - I cautiously ordered the key lime pie and asked her how it was, she said "not good, it comes in frozen and they throw it in the microwave, and in just over a minute you get pretty crappy pie.) Needless to say, I did not get the key lime pie, nor do I recommend it to others. I'll be back to try some of their other bar staples (I saw a quesadilla floating around and it looked good) and try some more beers on tap, or take advantage of some ridiculously low priced miller [light, hi-life, -hi-life light] bucket specials - 7 bucks for 5 bottles.

Quiet Sunday afternoon. I was looking for a place to watch the Phillies game. The bartender happily switched the TV in front of me to my game. The beer selection on tap is fabulous. While there are very few microbrews and no IPA, well, with 36 choices on tap I can't complain. There were a couple beers I was less familiar with and they will let you sample the beer to find something you like. Great bartender who never stopped moving. Impressive. The food was really good. I had the sashimi tuna salad. A huge portion of perfectly seared tuna. All in all a great experience.

Stopped in while in Ft. Myers (actually found a review on yelp) very nice place, friendly staff. They have an inside dinning room also an open air bar and dinning area. We had nice appetizers nachos plus tge Ale House Combo (potato skins, onion rings, fried mozzarella sticks with a spinach dip), i had the flat iron steak with the boom boom shrimp, my partner had the flat iron steak with fries We both had craft beers . The food was cooked perfectly and our wait person was very attentive. The prices weren't that expensive considering what we ordered. Can't wait to go back someday.

Quick review for this place. Service was meh. Our server came every now and then, but she was practically walking by and talking to us. I never felt like she heard what we said because she moved so fast lol Food was good. Above average for bar food. Chicken nachos are the best here! Fajitas and potstickers were pretty good. Parking was ample and they had a lot of seating. Overall I would say it was a pretty average place. Good place to grab an appetizer and a drink.
